ABOUT
Jim Mangles is an international photographer based in London and Istanbul. With experience of a wide range of cultures, he explores themes of cross-culture identity and belonging. Particularly focused on street photography and experimental long exposure portraiture, his work has been exhibited at the Copeland Gallery and the UAL Christian Union’s Image Bearer show.
Working freelance in event, music and portrait photography, he has additional experience in promotional videography, illustration and painting. Having lived in Uzbekistan, Turkey and the UK, he applies visual storytelling skills in various contexts.
He is currently studying Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the University of the Arts, London involving producing documentary videos, news photography, and engaging academically with the laws and ethics of our modern photographic world.
